Upper Room Student Ministry

The UR Student Ministry is the umbrella for FBC Benton's effort in reaching 8th through 12th graders in the Benton area for Jesus.  We have students from Benton, Bryant, Bauxite, and Harmony Grove that make up a community of students and their parents that we minister to!  We believe that it is vital that we as a church come alongside moms and dads in the disciple-making process of their student.  Therefore, we are committed to offering Bible Studies, camps and retreats, and ministry/missions opportunities that will support, not replace, the Biblical assignment of moms and dads to disciple their student.  We would also welcome the opportunity to sit down and talk with you about our dynamic ministry.

The Verge Middle School Ministry

The Verge is a ministry dedicated to Middle School students and their families. Our hope is that we expose students to the grace and truth of the gospel in a way that is relevant to 6th and 7th grade students. While students juggle relationships, school, social pressures, culture and what shoes to wear...we believe nothing is more important in their lives than their faith in Christ. We know the shift to parenting a tween/teen is not easy and it's our desire to come alongside you as parents and equip you to be the spiritual leaders in your home. Pure Energy - Student Choir

The student choir at First Baptist, known as Pure Energy, has developed a reputation throughout the nation for its commitment to excellence and its consistent strength in numbers. For several years, the group has numbered one hundred or more active students in grades 8-12. With an emphasis on worship, textual understanding, musicianship, structure, discipline, commitment, and student leadership, the choir has developed a strong tradition with which students want to be identified. Rehearsals are on Sunday evenings at 4:30pm throughout the school year.
